Ethiopia to play Chad in friendly

APA-Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) The Ethiopian national football team will play a friendly match against the Chad national team on Sunday in Addis Ababa, APA learns here on Tuesday.

The friendly match is part of Ethiopia’s preparations for the African Nations Cup ‘CAN 2012) qualifiers.

It will be the second friendly match in which the Ethiopian team is involved for its CAN 2012 qualifiers preparations.

A week ago, the team played against the Kenyan team.

However, Ethiopia was defeated by 3-0, causing a big disappointment for the national team which is being trained by a British coach who was recently hired with over $8,000 monthly salary.

Ethiopia’s defeat by the Kenyan team on its own home ground disappointed many Ethiopian authorities and supporters, making many to lose confidence on the team.
